Delivering an Advanced AI Training Programme for Linklaters

Following a successful firm-wide GenAI training rollout, Linklaters partnered with Simplexico to develop advanced, bespoke eLearning modules for their global AI Specialists. Co-designed with the firm’s GenAI and L&D teams, the interactive training was tailored to Linklaters’ tools, workflows, and policies—enabling lawyers to confidently apply AI in practice.

Overview

Following the successful rollout of a firm-wide AI training initiative to build foundational knowledge of generative AI (GenAI), Linklaters sought to provide their network of global AI Specialists access to more in-depth training. They set out to develop a more advanced, practical curriculum to help this group move from an intermediate understanding to confidently and expertly leveraging AI in daily tasks.

The Challenge

To ensure the AI Specialists had the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead on AI within their respective practice areas, Linklaters needed bespoke, high-quality training content. The materials needed to be accessible for busy lawyers and tailored to the firm's internal tools, policies, and use-cases.

What we did

Linklaters engaged Simplexico to co-design and develop a series of advanced eLearning modules.

”Naturally, we turned to Uwais for his experience and knowledge of AI to help us with the content for our advanced training. The training gives people an introduction to how large language models work and why it is that they can help lawyers in their work. We have received fantastic feedback from colleagues who have completed the training.”

Laura Hodgson, GenAI Strategy Lead

We collaborated closely with the firm’s GenAI and Learning & Development (L&D) teams to co-develop the curriculum structure, deliver technical expertise and learning design. Together we produced six interactive eLearning modules focused on advanced AI topics, aligned with Linklaters’ specific policies, tooling, and workflows.

“The training had to be tailored to the firm, its policies, products, and ways of working. The value add is not just the technical content but adapting that to the particular needs of our firm – and our teams have worked with Simplexico to deliver exactly that.”

Shilpa Bhandarkar, Partner, Client Tech & AI

The Result

We provided the technical content and design support to ensure each module was both practical and engaging. Once finalised, the courses were integrated into Linklaters’ internal LMS for global access.

The advanced training modules were initially rolled out to 200 AI Specialists globally. Due to strong demand, the modules have since been made available firm-wide, supporting continued AI education across the firm.

"Fantastic and very useful materials. A good idea to include a worked example on the prompting and make the training interactive."

Ongoing Collaboration

Simplexico continues to support Linklaters beyond training. We’re now working with the GenAI team to identify and rapidly prototype practice-specific AI use cases across the firm.
